About the lab

AI Phone Test Lab exists because demos lie by omission. Every vendor's showcase call is polite, articulate and on-script. Real callers are none of those things. We put AI receptionists through the same ten awkward, interrupted, mumbled, off-script calls and publish the audio.

What we publish

• A test page per provider with recordings, synchronized transcripts, pass/fail criteria and evaluator notes for each of ten calls.
• The AI Receptionist 100: a single score built from ten categories.
• Head-to-head tables for any two providers.

What we refuse to do

• Publish a score without the recordings behind it.
• Accept a vendor-configured demo line as the test subject.
• Hide a failure because a provider asked.

Funding and relationships

This site may receive compensation from providers mentioned on it, and the publisher has a financial interest in Torklio. Torklio is tested with the same scripts, evaluators and rubric as every other provider. See the disclosure.
